World Health Organization's ratings for nation's overall healthcare

Although wikipedia is not entirely accurate, this information is widely in agreement with other sites, including the WHO's own.

What is really amazing is how the US is not rated especially high, although not especially low either.

This is not new information or anything secret. It is simply not widely thought about.

Costa Rica is ranked HIGHER than the U.S. See for yourself. Why would someone who has decided on medical tourism choose to travel to a country with a lower rating? As far as money matters are the reason, Costa Rica is as affordable as many other destinations.

Recently, I wrote a blog post about escaping USA hospitals because of medical errors and sloppy healthcare. The WHO rankings demonstrate the same problems, and also the urgency to find a better alternative.
