DentaRica staff to personally guide three medical travelers in May

Clemmons, NC -- DentaRica staff member Natisha Fernandez will be personally guiding three medical travelers in May. She will also be getting some cosmetic surgery herself as part of DentaRica's continued commitment to personal experience and quality assurance. DentaRica (locally known as NC Medical Travel) is proud to only send their travelers to doctors, dentists, hospitals, or clinics that they have inspected in person and through their credentials.

All three travelling patients, along with Natisha herself, are going to Unibe Hospital for their treatment. DentaRica has a very productive relationship with Clinica Unibe, and serves as their USA Patient Appointment Desk.

Two of the patients have taken advantage of DentaRica's May Special on preventative medicine at Unibe Hospital. For $1899. they will receive (varying by need and gender) over ten lab tests, four imagings and scans, three specialist consultations, a gastroscopy, an echocardiogram, and more.

The third patient is going to Unibe Hospital for dental work. As an elderly patient, DentaRica staff felt the patient's dental needs would be best served at a fully equipped hospital as opposed to a dental clinic. This represents another service performed my DentaRica -- using experienced knowledge to make the best match between doctor and patient.

Ms. Fernandez has an Associate's Degree in Spanish language. She also has recently earned her certificate as a Destination Specialist from the Costa Rican Board of Tourism (ICT). She has already been to the country of Costa Rica on earlier trips, and her firsthand experience with downtown San Jose makes her especially suited as a guide. She had dental surgery on a previous trip, and was convinced she wanted further appointments. She has experienced their Costa Rican culture and even sampled their nightlife and restaurants. For patients who may want tourism options without travel inside a foreign country, she has been to museums (such as the Teatro Nacional and Teatro Helico Salazar) and shopping destinations (such as the Mercado Central and an organic market). She speaks fluent Spanish, and often serves as the main translator in DentaRica's appointment-making.

Press Release: DentaRica's Medical Tourism to Costa Rica offers escape from risky USA hospitals

Press release written by Richard Jordan, PR Coordinator at DentaRica, LLC

Clemmons, NC -- For decades, news sources have been repeatedly criticizing healthcare providers in the USA for their ridiculous medical errors and other forms of negligence that lead to deaths. Some sources have been quoted as saying preventable deaths are in the hundreds of thousands per year. And, sadly, that is merely known deaths, and does not include permanent painful life-altering conditions that are almost as bad. Hospitals have even been incriminated in allowing certain doctors to continue to work while there is convincing evidence that doctor is intentionally killing patients.

Many of these deaths are of more or less healthy individuals, and are caused -- nauseatingly -- by things as simple as overlooking basic handwashing.

It is without question that this issue needs to be addressed. There may be several solutions. Medical tourism is one such alternative. DentaRica offers medical tourism with the confidence engendered by being a USA-based company, having a policy of personal experiece, and having appropriate credentials.

Healthcare in Costa Rica is done quite differently than in the USA, and tends to be much more safe. That surprises many people who have the notion that Costa Rica is a so-called Third World country. For one,
the normal healthcare in Costa Rican hospitals includes an excellent nurse-to-patient ratio. It requires no convincing that more nurses per patient, more attention per patient, is a very good thing. Recently, DentaRica (locally known as NC Medical Travel) had an interview with Dr. Luis Wachong of Unibe Hospital (Clinica Unibe) in Costa Rica. When asked about this ratio, Dr. Wachong replied: "For surgical patient two nurse for one patient. In terms of hospitalization 1/1, in terms of observation 0.6 nurse for patient "

Unibe Hospital of Costa Rica Attending Conference in Florida

Press release written by Richard Jordan, PR Coordinator at DentaRica, LLC

Unibe Hospital in Costa Rica, as part of its ongoing effort to reach the international medical tourism market, is proud to be attending the 2014 Medical Travel and International Business Summit to be held in Miami Beach, Florida in May. It will be the first such event held outside of Costa Rica. The Summit, hosted by PROMED, is the fifth of these annual events, and is to be held at the Deauville Beach Resort.

Unibe Hospital, in sunny Costa Rica, can serve USA patients with the quality they are used to. Moreover, a US patient can a lot of money without sacrificing value. Costa Rica, in general, is rated even higher than the US in terms of healthcare.

May 6th through May 8th, the Costa Rican promoters of medical travel are hosting this convention to gather the most respected institutions of Costa Rican medical tourism and provide network opportunities for both Costa Rican and international parties. Education, business meetings, and investment opportunities all play a role, as well.

Although Americans travelling to Costa Rica for healthcare alternatives has been going on for many decades, there has recently been a more unified effort to promote medical tourism. And Unibe Hospital, along with USA-based partner DentaRica, LLC (also known as NC Medical Travel) are part of that renewed effort.

Unibe Hospital is proud to be sending its own Medical Director as a guest speaker.  Dr. Maria Amalia Matamoros will be speaking on Wednesday, May 7th.

Additionally, Dr. Ronald Iverson, President of the highly respected and American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities International (AAAASFI), will be speaking on ethical considerations in medical tourism. His organization is part of largest not-for-profit accrediting organization in the United States.

ICT, the Costa Rican tourism board, will also be attending. The owner of DentaRica Travel, LLC, is certified by ICT as a destination specialist. DentaRica is a US travel business that can assist US patients in visiting PROMED-cetified hospitals and clinics, such as Unibe.

Unibe Hospital was one of the founders of PROMED, and remains proud of its contribution to making Costa Rica one the best destinations in the world for medical tourism. This conference is part of PROMED's ongoing promotional efforts. The USA locale this year is designed to better reach business interests in the North American markets. PROMED certifies healthcare providers for high quality standards but also works towards satisfaction for all foreign travelers.

Press release: Unibe Hospital Gives Better Health Through Preventative Medicine

Press release written by Richard Jordan, PR Coordinator at DentaRica, LLC

Clemmons, NC -- Clinica Unibe, one of the best hospitals in Costa Rica, just a four-hour flight south of Florida, can make the quality of life better for thousands of USA residents, and has been doing so for the last decade. Although they are certainly qualified to perform full treatments and surgeries just like any USA hospital (and have the credentials to back it up), it seems worthwhile to explain just how preventative care with Unibe Hospital can make YOUR life better, or the lives of those you love.

Many Americans have experienced painful medical situations that could have been fairly easily (and cheaply!) treated if properly attended to earlier. Many people will see concerning health warning signs, but delay attending to those concerns until the situation becomes an emergency. Even if a healthcare "nuisance" turns out to be just that -- a nuisance -- in many other cases early detection of a problem is literally a matter of life and death. This hardly needs explaining.

What does need explaining is how Unibe Hospital (in Costa Rica), working hand-in-hand with DentaRica Travel (in North Carolina, USA), can help.

Preventative care, such as MRIs and colonoscopies and other routine diagnostic testing, are often costly in the USA. For people facing that situation, a few days' travel to Costa Rica including a visit to Unibe Hospital can make an enormous difference. Such a visit can make possible what did not seem possible. A $2000 diagnostic might be as little as $400, while the flight itself (charged by the airlines) can be as little as $200. This is not a joke.

With shockingly low prices like that, many people are naturally concerned about the quality of care at Unibe Hospital. On the contrary, the quality of care is very high and very modern. The standards are very high. They use cutting-edge technology. The experience and education of doctors and staff is excellent and comparable to a hospital in the USA. The prices are low because of the national healthcare program in Costa Rica. Please read an interview conducted with Dr. Luis Wachong of Clinica Unibe:  http://www.clinicaunibe.net/Blank-2.html
