Unibe Hospital in Costa Rica, as part of its ongoing effort to reach the international medical tourism market, is proud to be attending the 2014 Medical Travel and International Business Summit to be held in Miami Beach, Florida in May. It will be the first such event held outside of Costa Rica. The Summit, hosted by PROMED, is the fifth of these annual events, and is to be held at the Deauville Beach Resort.
Unibe Hospital, in sunny Costa Rica, can serve USA patients with the quality they are used to. Moreover, a US patient can a lot of money without sacrificing value. Costa Rica, in general, is rated even higher than the US in terms of healthcare.
May 6th through May 8th, the Costa Rican promoters of medical travel are hosting this convention to gather the most respected institutions of Costa Rican medical tourism and provide network opportunities for both Costa Rican and international parties. Education, business meetings, and investment opportunities all play a role, as well.
Although Americans travelling to Costa Rica for healthcare alternatives has been going on for many decades, there has recently been a more unified effort to promote medical tourism. And Unibe Hospital, along with USA-based partner DentaRica, LLC (also known as NC Medical Travel) are part of that renewed effort.
Unibe Hospital is proud to be sending its own Medical Director as a guest speaker. Dr. Maria Amalia Matamoros will be speaking on Wednesday, May 7th.
Additionally, Dr. Ronald Iverson, President of the highly respected and American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities International (AAAASFI), will be speaking on ethical considerations in medical tourism. His organization is part of largest not-for-profit accrediting organization in the United States.
ICT, the Costa Rican tourism board, will also be attending. The owner of DentaRica Travel, LLC, is certified by ICT as a destination specialist. DentaRica is a US travel business that can assist US patients in visiting PROMED-cetified hospitals and clinics, such as Unibe.
Unibe Hospital was one of the founders of PROMED, and remains proud of its contribution to making Costa Rica one the best destinations in the world for medical tourism. This conference is part of PROMED's ongoing promotional efforts. The USA locale this year is designed to better reach business interests in the North American markets. PROMED certifies healthcare providers for high quality standards but also works towards satisfaction for all foreign travelers.
